MARCOS PICCHIO
I'm an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Oakland University. From 2023-2025, I was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Bioethics at the National Institutes of Health. I completed a PhD in philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in spring 2023. You can find my CV in the top right corner.
Much of my current research focuses on ethical issues surrounding the use of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in public policy and development economics. I am also exploring topics such as the value of economic growth, the nature of the duty to rescue, the regulation of human subjects research by institutional review boards (IRBs), and the ethical significance of assortative mating based on sociological factors.
